If you are experiencing shortness of breath several times a day or have been told you have emphysema, chronic bronchitis or lung disease, then you owe it to yourself to learn more about this excellent program. Program Director and Physical Therapist, Bob Huhn has worked closely with hundreds of clients with cardiopulmonary conditions over the last 25 years. In conjunction with their doctors, he’s helped these people lead safer, more active lives. You’ll breath easier, knowing just how much activity is safe for you and how to adjust your daily activities to better accommodate your physical limitations.

• You’ll learn how to better control your shortness of breath, building up greater tolerance for doing physical activities.
• You’ll build your endurance and stamina within any physical limitations you may have. • Our staff will be in close contact with your personal physician every step of the way, providing reports to help guide your progress. And, we’ll make sure any questions you may have are answered to your satisfaction. • You’ll learn how to better use oxygen and inhalers to make your life more comfortable. • You’ll learn how better nutrition and special diet modifications can reduce your shortness of breath and improve your comfort level.
• After a thorough examination, our specialists will guide you through a safe, monitored exercise program to build your strength and stamina. Monitoring includes blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure, shortness of breath and EKG. • You’ll participate in education sessions where you’ll learn more about lung disease and how to modify your life to accommodate your limitations. • You’ll also receive breathing training to improve your body’s ability to cope with your condition. • If needed, other medical professionals including a Respiratory Therapist, a Registered Dietitian and a Social Worker will be brought in to help you adjust to living with lung disease.
