In June, 2004 the Human Performance Center reopened its doors in our current location at the corner of Calle Real and Pueblo, just two blocks from Cottage Hospital in the heart of Santa Barbara's "medical district." Our beautiful, expansive 5,500 square foot facility was designed from Day One with patient comfort and privacy in mind.

It features a relaxing, airy patient waiting room, 10 private treatment areas and the best exercise and rehabilitation equipment available today. The high ceilings and frosted-glass windows of our main treatment gym offer a very spacious, pleasant environment for exercise and rehabilitation. The 10 private treatment areas are either surrounded by floor-to-ceiling curtains or are separate rooms.

Plenty of easy ground-floor parking is located just yards from the 101 Freeway.

The the NEW NeuroCom Smart EquiTest makes the Safe & Steady Balance Program the Central Coast’s leader in the evaluation and treatment of imbalance and vestibular disorders!

This state-of-the-art computerized assessment instrumentation enables our specifically-trained physical therapists here at the Human Performance Center to identify and differentiate between sensory impairments—somatosensory, visual, vestibular—and motor impairments which affect balance and mobility.

This information, combined with other evaluation findings, enables us to provide specific focused treatment, resulting in improved functional performance and reduced disability.
